Riot Games brings league of legends to Romania with full local service and support
Riot Games plans to celebrate the game’s launch with players at the Bucharest Tournament on June 2.
Riot Games, the game company behind League of Legends, today announced the launch of the popular online game in Romania, with fully localized service and support.
To commemorate the game’s release in Romania, the finale of the first Romanian League of Legends tournament will take place in Bucharest at the Flanco Store in the Unirea Shopping Center, June 2, 2012.
To better support League of Legends players in the country, the Romanian version of the game is fully localized, with Romanian language voiceover and game text, as well as dedicated player support and community staff. A new community website for Romania can be found at
“Whenever we look at bringing League of Legends to a new community, it’s important to us that we provide the same quality of service that our players around the world have come to expect,” said Brandon Beck, co-founder and CEO of Riot Games. “That means we needed to go all the way: to provide full Romanian language support, to hire Rioters who really understand the needs of Romanian gamers, and to kick off the Romanian eSports scene right with a launch tournament and celebration.”
